UKAHN History of Nursing Research Colloquium
Keele University
Wednesday 25 June 2025
Call for Papers and Posters
The 26th UK Association for the History of Nursing Research Colloquium will be held on Wednesday 25 June 2025 at Keele University in Staffordshire. Papers and posters are invited that cover any aspect of nursing history, at all stages of the research process. The colloquium has a proud tradition of providing a supportive environment for researchers to present work in progress, and obtain feedback for further development of their research, as well as hosting more polished papers.
Please submit abstracts of c.250 words to a.e.tomkins@keele.ac.uk: deadline Monday 3 March 2025. Proposals should include a title, preferred author name/s, the aims and focus of the research, the methods or sources used, key areas for discussion, and any preliminary conclusions.
This will be an all-day event, starting at 9.30am, in the Old Library at Keele Hall (pictured above). The finish time will be confirmed when the programme has been agreed but we will aim to stop by 5.30pm at the latest to allow for travel. The delegate fee will be £50 including lunch and refreshments. A link for booking, and the full programme, will be available via our website www.ukahn.org by the end of April. In case of any queries, please contact the 2025 convenor Alannah Tomkins at a.e.tomkins@keele.ac.uk.
