Congratulations to Professor Claire Chatterton on her RCN Fellowship Award

UKAHN is delighted and proud to announce that, Professor Claire Chatterton, one of its founder members and current member of the Committee has been made a fellow of the Royal College of Nursing. We would like to congratulate Claire on this well-deserved recognition of her achievements in, and contributions to, nursing, which span practice, research, education and history. As a nurse historian, Claire’s research publications illuminate in particular mental health nursing in the 20th century and World War One nursing, as well as including a number of fascinating biographies. Claire takes every opportunity to promote nursing history, as a UKAHN member for all its 20+ years, and as a key committee member since 2015, through the development of a seminar series hosted at the University of Chester, and importantly through her national and international links. Claire hosted an excellent Colloquium at Chester in 2018 and, but for postponement [until 2021] due to Covid 19, would have hosted again in Chichester this year.
Well done Claire: We hope the opportunities afforded by the Fellowship enables you to develop, enhance and enjoy your scholarship.
